DIAGNOSTICS
Early detection is key when it comes to treating your pet, and Marion Pet Care offers in-house diagnostics in our on-site laboratory for urgent cases. This saves time and most importantly, you don’t have to wait overnight for results.

Radiology

We employ advanced imaging technologies, guaranteeing the highest quality of care for our patients. Radiology, or X-ray, capability means that your pet gets diagnosed accurately and quickly, leading to better outcomes and faster recovery periods.
Radiographs or X-rays use electromagnetic radiation directed towards the body to highlight objects within. They can detect abnormalities including skeletal fractures, soft tissue damage, foreign bodies, and dental disease.
If your pet has a complex medical condition, we offer board certified radiologist consultations on your pets imaging studies in order to h
elp manage your pet’s health.

Ultrasound

We are able to offer, in certain cases, basic veterinary ultrasounds in-house. A non-invasive diagnostic tool, ultrasound is a reliable way to detect illness, early pregnancy, and measure function of the internal organs.
In the event your pet is suffering from a more complex ailment, we are happy to request the help of a board-certified ultrasonographer and can refer you to an outside specialist.

In-House Laboratory

In addition to X-rays, we have the capability to perform various blood screens, pre-anesthetic bloodwork, urinalysis, dermatological analysis, fine needle aspirates, blood smears, and other types of testing on-site instead of sending samples to an outside lab.
While we do offer an extensive range of on-site testing, it is possible that your pet may need laboratory work beyond our scope. For those cases, we often opt to send blood work or other testing to an outside lab that will then send results back to us.
