Meet The Team

Dr. Forbes received her undergraduate degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and is a 2011 graduate of Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine.  She has practiced small animal medicine in Hattiesburg, Tylertown, and Magnolia before settling in Columbia to continue the same quality of veterinary care that Dr. Watts has provided to his clients all these years.  She and her husband William have been married 20 years and live in the Dexter community in Walthall County.

Jake is our friendly people greeter who is an important part of our team.  He provides life saving blood for transfusions in our critical patients.  He is happiest with lots of petting, plenty of treats, and barking at cars!

QuiQui is our little miracle kitty who fell out of a vehicle as a kitten and was brought in by an officer from the Marion County sheriff's office.  She is very sweet but shy, so she prefers to nap in Jake's bed.  Her favorite activities are tearing up the lobby upholstery despite having a large scratching post available at her convenience, being extremely needy when the humans are busy working but running away when it's time for bed, and playing hide and seek in small, dark areas of the clinic.

Gimpy is another kitty who was rescued from a vehicle as a kitten.  He loves to hang out in the lobby and bird watch from his spot by the front door.  His favorite activities are annoying clients at the reception desk, being in the way of whatever you are doing, appearing sweet and welcoming to petting until he's actually petted then getting an attitude for no reason, and barging into exam rooms without knocking.
